Software · a buyer’s guide to UK SRS tools
UK SRS software helps a company report against UK SRS S1 and S2, the UK Sustainability Reporting Standards published on 25 February 2026.
8 vendors in this site’s registry name UK SRS on their own pages; this page lists them, shows how to widen the list from ISSB tools, and sets the test a listed company should apply before its first 2027 report.
The outputs and evidence a tool must hold are on UK SRS reporting software.
Who is buying
The answer changes the purchase: a listed company needs the comply-or-explain statement and the assurance statement; a voluntary reporter needs neither.
The rule for listed companies is PS26/19: comply or explain across UK SRS, for UKLR 6, 14, 15, 16 and 22, for periods beginning on or after 1 January 2027.
For everyone else, the standards are published for voluntary use.

FCA PS26/19.Voluntary: often a supplier answering a listed customer, or a private group preparing early.

Widening the list
Start with the 8 vendors that name UK SRS, then add ISSB vendors you ask in writing about the UK amendments.
Tick Scope 3 in the tool beside this text: UK SRS S2 requires it after the first-year relief in ¶C4, so a tool without it will be outgrown.
Tick SECR if you also file a directors’ report energy section: the same emissions sit underneath both.
Six platforms are compared on IFRS S2 and UK SRS on IFRS and UK SRS software compared.

One company, start to finish
Company E is an illustration: a calendar-year company with equity shares in UKLR 6.
Its first UK SRS period is the year beginning 1 January 2027, disclosed with its 2027 accounts under S1 ¶64.
It buys in 2026 so the 2027 data lands in the tool as it arrives, and it uses the Scope 3 relief in year one while it builds supplier data.
Its test in every demo is the comply-or-explain statement drafted from its own gaps.

In the demo
Ask first for the comply-or-explain statement, because it is what a listed company publishes about its own gaps.
Then ask for the UK SRS view, not the IFRS one, on your data.
The questions test outputs; they score no one, and passing them is not an approval.

A tool that drafts them from the data, rather than leaving them to a document, is doing the part of the job that is new.
The transition plan statement applies to UKLR 6, 16 and 22 only; plans themselves are covered on UK SRS transition plans.

Choose the tool that produces the UK SRS view (not only IFRS), drafts the comply-or-explain statement from your gaps, and leaves evidence an assurer can use.
Often close, but check.
UK SRS S1 and S2 are endorsed versions with UK amendments, so ask any IFRS tool to show the UK view on your data.
For a listed company, before the first period beginning on or after 1 January 2027; for a calendar-year company that is the 2027 year, reported in 2028.
The disclosures cover the same period as the financial statements and are published with them.
Eventually.
UK SRS S2 requires Scope 3, with a relief in the first year of application; a tool that cannot hold Scope 3 will be outgrown after that.
Most vendors quote rather than publish.
Ask for a written quote covering entities, Scope 3 and any scenario analysis module.
PS26/19 does not require assurance.
It asks the company to state whether third-party assurance was obtained and, if so, from whom, to what level and under which standard.
For a simple group in its first year, perhaps, with the Scope 3 relief.
The narrative is written by people in any case; software earns its place on Scope 3, scenario analysis and the evidence trail.
