Software · a buyer’s guide to ESRS tools
ESRS software holds the European Sustainability Reporting Standards’ datapoints, links each to its data and evidence, and produces the disclosures a CSRD reporter publishes.
16 vendors in this site’s registry mention ESRS on their own pages; this page lists them and helps you decide which of the three ESRS you need before you buy.
How a tool maps data to disclosures and tags is on ESRS reporting software.
Three standards
A company in CSRD scope needs the revised set in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1563.
A supplier asked for data usually needs the voluntary standard in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560, which is far smaller.
A non-EU group caught by Article 40a faces a third standard, still a draft: EFRAG’s ESRS-40a exposure draft.
Whether you are in scope at all is worked through on CSRD software.

Three ESRS
From the list to three
Start with the vendors that mention ESRS, then tick what else the tool must do in the tool beside this text.
The test that matters most is filtering: EFRAG’s draft list counts 292 “shall” datapoints, and you report the ones your materiality assessment makes relevant.
A vendor that cannot filter to your material topics will make you manage the full list by hand.
Your long list · from vendors’ own pages, read 11 October 2026 and 30 September–1 October 2026
Start: vendors whose own pages mention ESRS (16). Tick what else the same tool must serve.
16 of 16 vendors make every claim you ticked.
Alphabetical; the order ranks nothing. A claim is what a vendor says, not a test result.
Nothing you tick is stored or sent.
Two buyers, side by side
Reporter G and supplier H are illustrations: an EU group in CSRD scope from FY2027, and a UK company it buys from.
G needs the revised ESRS, a double materiality assessment and a way to send value-chain requests.
H needs much less: what G may ask is capped by reference to the voluntary standard, under the Commission’s explanation.
The same vendor may serve both, through different modules; ask.

Ask the vendor to name the ESRS set and the date it was loaded, then to filter the datapoints to one of your material topics.
The questions test outputs; they score no one, and passing them is not an approval.

The revised ESRS in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1563, in force from 10 November 2026 and applying from FY2027.
A supplier may only need the voluntary standard in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2026/1560, in force since 24 September 2026.
EFRAG’s draft datapoint list for the revised ESRS, published in August 2026, counts 292 “shall” datapoints.
A company reports those that its materiality assessment makes relevant, not all of them.

EFRAG has released a draft taxonomy for the revised ESRS for consultation; tagging is not yet mandatory.

A draft standard EFRAG has proposed for non-EU groups caught by Article 40a of the Accounting Directive.
It is an exposure draft, not law; ask vendors whether and when they plan to support it.
Only through an EU route, such as an EU subsidiary in scope or the Article 40a test.
EFRAG’s and the Commission’s decisions have no legal effect in the UK, where the UK SRS apply.
Most vendors quote rather than publish.
Prices usually rise with entities, topics and the value-chain module.
Some vendors say so; tick UK SRS in the long-list tool on this page to keep only those whose own pages claim it.
UK SRS uses single materiality, so its view is narrower.
You do, with the vendor as processor under a written contract; for a UK company UK GDPR sets what it must include.
